As writers, we come up with some interesting ways to try to market our books. For whatever reason, this popped into my head. A Fool's Fortune is about goldminers in the Fraser Valley in 1857. I'm not a goldminer, and it's definitely not 1857, but I live in the Fraser Valley!

At first, I was trying really hard to find a spot that matched the cover, to no avail. Close, but no cigar.

After multiple attempts, I thought, "I'm just going to let it pick the spots." We saw a creek.

We found a rock to sit on.

We had to take a break on the bench, that was a lot of walking!

On the way back, we found one more "almost the same as the cover" spot!

In the end, A Fool's Fortune was happy to be home on it's shelf.
